City Star Restaurant and Coffee Lounge ("City Star", "we", "us" or "our") is a restaurant located at Elite Arcade Building, 1st Floor, next to Nation Centre, Kimathi Street, Nairobi, Kenya. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

We only send you promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

04WhatsApp and email messages

Our contact and reservation forms do not store your details on our website. When you choose WhatsApp or Email, the form opens your own WhatsApp or mail app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send.

Messages sent this way are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider under their own privacy policies. Once we receive your message, we use it only to respond to you and to manage your order or booking.

05Payments

We use pay on delivery. You pay for your order when it arrives or when you collect it, so no payment details are entered or stored on our website. We only keep a record of each order, such as the items, amount and date, for our accounts.

06Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We only share it when needed to serve you, with:

• Delivery riders or delivery partners, so they can bring your order to you
• Our website hosting and technical service providers
• Government authorities, where the law requires it

Anyone we share information with may only use it for the purpose we shared it for.

07Cookies

Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use them to remember the items in your cart, keep you signed in if you have an account, and understand how visitors use our website through tools such as Google Analytics.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Order records are kept for as long as Kenyan tax and accounting laws require. Messages and reservation details are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information as safe as possible.

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
